 As Dukes balls are swinging in the Ashes at the moment, the head of Dukes goes through the process of what goes into making these balls in the video below.

How a Dukes Cricket Ball is Manufactured

A key feature of all Dukes balls is that they are hand stitched instead of machine stitched. As shown in the video, seams are carefully stitched from one side to the other and back right around the ball. This creates a three-way interlocking seam that is very unlikely to ever split.
