Dukes cricket balls into the Sheffield Shield

Wed 30 March, 2016

Cricket Australia have announced that Dukes cricket balls will be used in the second half of the 2016/17 Sheffield Shield season to allow Australian first-class cricketers to gain experience with the Dukes cricket ball.

The move follows calls from past players including Ricky Ponting, Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne that Australian players would benefit from adopting the Dukes ball for usage in Australia.

Outside Test and First-class cricket - clubs and schools will also be long term beneficiaries of Dukes cricket balls gaining further traction in Australia.

Manufactured to the very highest quality standards and consistency, Dukes cricket balls generally swing for a longer duration, maintain their shape and stitching and add to the vital balance between bat and ball.
